Street-legal LSVs for Boynton Beach
Florida law keeps standard golf carts off public roads unless a road has been designated for them, but a registered low-speed vehicle (LSV) can use any street posted 35 mph or less. That makes an LSV the practical choice for getting around Boynton Beach. Every Backyard Escapism cart is built as a street-legal LSV in 4, 6 and 8 seat layouts with lithium batteries.

Boynton Beach golf cart questions
Can I drive a golf cart on Boynton Beach streets?
A standard golf cart may only use roads designated for golf carts with a posted limit of 30 mph or less, and must follow any stricter local ordinance. A registered, insured low-speed vehicle (LSV) with a licensed driver can use streets posted 35 mph or less.
Which streets can an LSV use?
Streets with a posted speed limit of 35 mph or less. LSVs are not allowed on faster roads.
How do I title and register a new LSV?
Take the Manufacturer's Certificate of Origin, Form HSMV 82040 (Application for Title), proof of Florida insurance with at least $10,000 PIP and $10,000 PDL, and your ID to a motor vehicle service center, and pay the title, plate and registration fees.
What is the difference between a golf cart and an LSV?
Under Florida law a golf cart cannot go faster than 20 mph, while a low-speed vehicle (LSV) has a top speed between 20 and 25 mph. An LSV has a VIN, seat belts, lights and mirrors, and is titled, registered and insured like a car. Our carts are built as street-legal LSVs.
