Moving To A Cart Community? Order The Cart Before The Furniture.
Custom builds take 3 to 4 months. Order while the house is still being finished and the cart is the first thing in the garage.
- Photos of your finished cart by month 2
- Free delivery to your new address, anywhere in the lower 48
- Standard or lifted ride, sized to your garage door
Order it during the build. Park it on move-in day.
A custom cart takes 3 to 4 months. So does the last stretch of a new house. Order while the drywall is going up and the cart is waiting for you, not the other way around.
We send photos of your finished cart around month 2, so you'll see it long before the moving truck shows up. If the house runs late, tell us. We'll work the delivery date around your move-in.
Start My Build
It will fit in your garage, because we ask before we build it.
Standard or lifted is your call, and it costs the same either way.
| Ride | Overall height | Under a 7-foot (84") door |
|---|---|---|
| Standard ride | 76"6' 4" | 8 inches to spare |
| Lifted ride | 81"6' 9" | 3 inches to spare |
Measure from the garage floor to the lowest point of the open door, not the frame. If the house is still being framed, ask your builder for the finished opening. Under 76 inches? Call us before you order.
You didn't move here to drive the same cart as everyone else on the street.
In a cart community, the cart is the thing people see before they see the house. The dealer near your new place sells whatever came off the truck that month, and half the neighborhood already owns it.
We build yours from scratch. Any exterior color, match for the front door, included in the base price. Seat color, stitching, wheels, roof. Can't agree on a color yet? Lock in the build now and text us the color when the two of you settle it. Your place in line doesn't wait on the paint decision.
Pick My ColorsThe house just took the cash. Half down, and the same cart the big dealer sells.
You don't have to pay for the whole cart while you're also paying for a closing. Put half down to start your build and pay the other half when it ships, which is about when the boxes are unpacked.
The cart underneath is the same one the big local dealer sells. Same factory that builds for Venom and Bintelli. You skip the showroom, the lot and the markup. The 2-minute video shows what changes when you buy factory-direct and have it delivered to the new address.
Customize My Cart
Street legal, so it's how you get around the new neighborhood.
The pool is three blocks away. Too far to carry everything, too close to load everybody into the car. That's the trip this cart is for. Clubhouse, mailbox, school pickup, dinner in the town square.
Every cart is a street-legal LSV with headlights, turn signals, brake lights, mirrors, horn and 3-point seat belts. It comes with a VIN and the manufacturer's certificate of origin you'll need at the DMV. Registration rules change from state to state, and you're probably new to yours, so ask us before you order and we'll tell you what your state wants.
New in town? You don't need a "cart guy."
You just moved. You don't have a mechanic yet, let alone someone who works on golf carts. You won't need one.
Your cart shows up fully assembled and test-driven. It rolls off the trailer into your driveway and the driver walks you through it. It charges on a regular 110V outlet in the garage, no electrician. If something ever needs attention, our mobile service network comes to your driveway in the lower 48. 8 years on the lithium battery. 2 years on the rest of the cart.

This company EARNED a five star review. I love my cart but what's more important is customer service and they have it in spades.

Questions Before You Order
The questions we hear most from people buying a cart for a new home. Still have one? Call or text 970-457-6888 or email support@backyardescapism.com.
Three to four months before you want to be driving it. If you have a closing date or a move-in date, count back from that. We'll send photos of your finished cart by month 2 so you can see it well before it ships.
Tell us. Get the order in, lock your build and your place in line, and we'll work the delivery date around when you're actually living there.
It will if we plan for it. A standard-ride cart is 76 inches tall overall. A lifted cart is 81 inches. Standard or lifted is your choice at no extra cost. Measure from the floor to the lowest point of the open garage door, not the frame, and tell us the number when you order. If the house is still being framed, ask your builder for the finished door height. Running boards are only available on the lifted ride.
Yes. Plenty of our carts go to a second home, a beach house or a house the buyer hasn't moved into yet. If the delivery address changes before the cart ships, just tell us.
Every cart is built as a street-legal LSV with a VIN and a manufacturer's certificate of origin. Top speed is 28 mph, and we can set it to 25 mph at the factory for states that require it. Registration steps vary by state, and a few states ask for extras like windshield wipers or a notarized bill of sale. Tell us the state and we'll tell you what its DMV asks for before you order.
Most cart communities are built around exactly this kind of vehicle: electric, quiet and street legal. Rules on where you can drive and park are set by each community, so check your covenants or ask the HOA office. If they want specs, we'll send you a sheet to forward.
No. It plugs into a regular 110V household outlet with the onboard charger. No electrician, no special circuit. If you're still in the build phase, an outlet near where the cart will park is all you need.
We do, through a mobile service network that comes to your driveway in the lower 48. Parts can be ordered through us at any time. If a warrantied part is needed, we ship it and set you up with service near you.
Via credit card or bank transfer. Or finance it through our partner Enhancify. Get instant rates from multiple lenders with pre-approval and no hard credit check.
Consider the first two weeks of ownership your test drive. If the cart isn't what we promised, you get your money back.
8 years on the lithium battery and 2 years on the rest of the cart.
Look at what's in stock. We periodically have carts ready for immediate delivery. See current inventory, or text us, because some units never make it onto the site. In-stock carts do carry a shipping charge; free delivery applies to custom builds.
Shipping on all custom-order carts is free in the lower 48 states, whatever the zip code. In-stock inventory units do carry a shipping charge.
The manufacturer fully assembles and tests your cart, and we send you photos, usually around week six. It's then broken down for ocean freight. We receive it stateside and reassemble it: wheels, windshield, roof, seats, fenders. It arrives at your door fully assembled, on a trailer, ready to drive.
Yes. Any Pantone color you choose, included in the base price. People match the front door, the shutters, the boat.
No. Lock in the build and your place in line now, and send us the color when you've decided.
The 206Ah battery gives you about twice the range per charge and fewer charge cycles, and it handles towing and hills better. If the new neighborhood is spread out or hilly, or the cart will be your main way of getting around, it's worth it. For short trips to the pool and back, the standard battery is plenty.
We apply your most recent form submission to your cart as soon as your order comes in. Check out on the site by ticking the add-ons you want and adding to cart, or call and we'll do it with you over the phone.
