Street-legal LSVs for Bonita Springs
In Bonita Springs, a titled, registered and insured low-speed vehicle (LSV) can be driven on streets posted 35 mph or less under Florida law. A plain golf cart is more limited: it may only use roads that have been designated and signed for golf carts. Every Backyard Escapism cart is built as a street-legal LSV in 4, 6 and 8 seat layouts with lithium batteries.

Bonita Springs golf cart questions
Can I drive a golf cart on Bonita Springs streets?
Under Florida law, a golf cart may only use streets that the city or county has designated for golf carts and posted with signs. A registered LSV with a licensed driver can use streets posted 35 mph or less.
Which roads can an LSV use?
Streets with a posted speed limit of 35 mph or less. You may cross a faster road at an intersection, but not drive along it. Check posted limits on your route.
What is the difference between a golf cart and an LSV in Florida?
Florida law defines a golf cart as unable to go faster than 20 mph, and a low-speed vehicle (LSV) as having a top speed above 20 and up to 25 mph. An LSV is titled, registered and insured, and needs lights, turn signals, mirrors, a windshield, seat belts and a VIN. Our carts are built as street-legal LSVs.
What do I need to drive an LSV?
A title, registration and insurance for the vehicle, and a valid driver license with you whenever you drive it.
