We let you lift your golf cart as one of the customization steps in our process here at Backyard Escapism, going from a standard 77-inch height to an 83-inch height. You also get off-road tires for a more rugged build that can conquer any terrain.
Building a lifted golf cart is the way to go because you get better value for the money compared to lifting an existing golf cart and paying for an aftermarket kit and spending an arm and a leg at the shop. You also get peace of mind knowing the golf cart was made with a lift in mind from the ground up.
Every all-terrain golf cart at Backyard Escapism starts with lithium batteries (40 or 70 mile range, 25-28 mph top speed), a 10.1-inch weatherproof touchscreen with Apple CarPlay, four-wheel disc brakes, and full LED lighting. You get to decide on the other details:

- Seat count (4, 6, or 8)
- Seat configuration (rear/forward facing)

Frequently Asked Questions
Does a lifted golf cart go faster?
Not necessarily. The lift just adds ground clearance so you can conquer any terrain. The battery dictates how fast you go. Our standard batteries top out at 25 mph, whereas our premium battery gets you up to 28 mph.
Do lifted golf carts ride better?
It depends on the terrain. You’ll definitely find that they ride better off-road. The ride won’t feel any different on flat pavement, though.
How much is a lifted golf cart?
Somewhere in the range of $12,499 and $17,000+. Your seat count, battery, and accessories dictate what you pay at checkout. A 48-volt golf cart costs less than a 72-volt golf cart with extended range. A 4-seater is generally more affordable than an 8-seater. Are lifted golf carts safe?
As long as you drive them responsibly, yes. Some people get a false sense of confidence in a lifted cart and think they can commandeer impossible terrain. Taking corners at unreasonable speeds can be dangerous. Safety is entirely dependent on the user.

How much will a shop charge to install a lift kit?
Most shops charge $200 to $500 in labor to install a lift kit, and the kit itself typically costs $300 to $1,500 depending on the type and brand. At that point, you might consider selling your golf cart and upgrading to one of the lifted golf carts we have in store for you at Backyard Escapism!

From order to delivery lead times are currently around 4 months. The first month is production, the second month is shipping, final assembly and delivery.

As of right now, shipping for all golf carts is free with no extra charge for customers in the lower 48 states regardless of zip code.
Each cart is fully assembled and tested by our manufacturer. At this point we send photos of your completed cart (usually after 4-5 weeks). From there, the carts are deconstructed for ocean freight. We receive your cart stateside and reassemble it: the wheels, windshield, roof, seats, fenders, etc. Your cart arrives fully assembled and ready for enjoyment.
Our carts come with a full 5-year warranty on the lithium batteries and a 2-year warranty on the rest of the powertrain. Parts can be ordered through us at any time. If a warrantied part is needed we ship it to you and help get you setup with local service across our network.
